Paper machine number six with hollanderi is commissioned at Dalum Papirfabrik. Dalum's first paper machine from 1873 is decommissioned.

Demand for cellulose and wood pulp is high, and prices rise to a level 10-14 times higher than before the war. Orders are restricted as import licences are few, resulting in lead-times of up to 14 months for some paper grades.

Prices for cellulose fall as straw begins to be used to produce cellulose. However, DfP’s order levels also fall, due in part to customers having learnt to save money and the increase in competition.
